Matthew was a much loved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend. He lived life to the full. The youngest of fourteen children he never lost his youthful exuberance and had a mischievous twinkle, especially when telling a story – he had a wonderful way of sharing funny stories. He was a keen card player – he had an amazing gift with numbers and could recall who had played what card when with ease! He enjoyed a game of golf. Most of all though, he loved his family. He loved nothing more than having his family around him, he was proud of their achievements, and took great joy in his Grandchildren. Matthew was very special, and for those of us who were lucky enough to have shared his life – we miss him dearly. This Tribute Page is in honour of Matthew – if we can help raise money for research to prevent others facing this loss then that will be a fitting tribute.
